Craft

an art piece about the simultaneous increase in technology and the rise in crafting happening right now

the Moth Monument

One of my projects for my Arts Integrated class was to create a monument. I chose to create a monument to the Moth, a non-profit organization dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling.

I asked friends, family and classmates to send me true stories on the theme “Monument: Tales of Significant Moments”. The response was amazing. I printed and bound each one (well didn’t get to them all yet but I plan to) and installed them as a group. The plan is to keep collecting stories, and then install them in public spaces so that they can be viewed by everyone, as monuments are.

THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT SENT ME A STORY!
